With His Permission

In order to develop that attitude, we have to believe what the Master says, that from the time you have come to the feet of a Perfect Satguru, from that time on whatever happens will be with his permission. The Master knows where we are out of balance. He knows our weaknesses. He knows the things we need and he knows the things we have to overcome.
So when all these things happen to us they happen with his permission. Though we do not think they are pleasant experiences, they are with his permission. It gives us an opportunity to face the problems that hamper our growth, to become strong and rise above our weaknesses. If we reject the experiences that he gives us, then we reject the opportunity to grow.
There is another way to look at it. Whatever happens to us is with his will. Nobody can escape it. We have limited free will, but we have a destiny that is on a course that cannot be changed. The only way we can change it is to rise above it to a higher elevation of consciousness where we are unaffected by the results of our destiny.
We nevertheless have to go through our physical and to a great extent out mental destiny, because that is the way the Lord set it up.
